21st Century Troubadours songwriter series at The GEM Music Hall on March 29th. April 26th, May 17th and June 28th.

The May 17th show will feature Craig Bickhardt, Emily Drinker and Anna Spackman with Host J.D Malone! 4 songwriters on stage at once trading songs and stories.

Dating back to the 12th century, Troubadour refers to the song-meisters of the Middle Ages, but it has been extended to cover contemporary poet-musicians as well. Troubadour is a fitting name for such creative artists: it derives from an Old Occitan word meaning "to compose." Troubadours perform their own songs. Jongleurs (instrumentalists) and Cantaires (singers) also perform troubadours' songs.
